Other News

A small group of senior EYG participants gave performances and led “come and try” fiddle sessions at WHALE (Wester Hailes Arts for Leisure and Education) and Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre in the Moredun area of the city in June 2008. These sessions were part of Napier University’s Expert Witness programme.

Currie Primary School approached EYG and asked if some young musicians would like to perform at their summer fete last month. Sally Simpson (fiddle), Hannah McLaughlin (fiddle and piano) and Robbie Greig (fiddle) went along and gave an excellent performance to an appreciative audience.

EYG is delighted to be invited back to perform in Haddington on Wednesday 6th August 2008. A group of eighteen EYG participants will perform at the invitation of Haddington Folk Club.
