Wester Hailes Music Mondays

A fun new music project for young people in P5 – S3 to learn from some of the best musicians in Scotland. Always wanted to learn to play an instrument? Now you can!

Fiddle, Singing, Guitar and Tin Whistle

Where?

WHALE (30 Westburn Grove).

When?

Mondays during the school term.

How much?

£1 per lesson (FREE instrument loan).

Who can attend?

Anyone from P5 - S3.

The Tutors

	Mike Vass - fiddle and guitar. Mike regularly tours at home and abroad with folk band, Malinky and in a duo with his twin sister, Ali. He has recorded CDs and played on radio and TV. Mike enjoys teaching both young people and adults alike. He currently teaches for the Pilrig Fiddlers and the Scots Music Group in Edinburgh.
	Matheu Waston - guitar and tin whistle. Matheu is one of the most sought after musicians in Scotland and plays regularly with the Fred Morrison Band. He will be releasing his debut album later in 2010.

The Classes

All of the classes cost £1 per week (1 instrumental lesson + group session). You are welcome to pay £2 and stay on for the whole session. Instruments are provided on loan for free.
